Setting up auto-printing with Restrofi Connect
Restrofi Connect is a small desktop agent that auto-prints KOTs and bills to your USB thermal printer the instant an order is placed — no clicking, no walking to the PC.
What you'll accomplish
You'll install Restrofi Connect on your billing PC, pair it with a code, map your printers to roles, and confirm a test order prints automatically.
Before you start
- A Windows billing PC at your counter.
- A USB thermal printer that supports 80mm ESC/POS (Epson TM, TVS, or most generic 3-inch printers).
- You're signed in to your Restrofi dashboard.
Step-by-step guide

Download Restrofi Connect
From your dashboard, go to Settings → Connect and click Download for Windows. Run the installer on your billing PC — it launches quietly in your system tray with the Restrofi icon.

Generate a pairing code
Back in Settings → Connect, click Pair a device. Restrofi shows a short pairing code valid for a few minutes.

Enter the code in the app
Open the Restrofi Connect app on the PC and enter the pairing code once. The PC links securely to your outlet — it dials out over an encrypted connection, so no inbound ports are opened.

Map your printers to roles
Connect detects your USB printers. Assign each to a role — kitchen KOT and counter bill. One PC can drive multiple printers and route the right document to each.

Send a test print
From Settings → Connect, click Test print to confirm the printer responds. Then place a test order and watch the KOT print to the kitchen and the bill to the counter automatically.
Common issues
My printer isn't detected.
Make sure the printer is connected over USB and powered on, then restart the Restrofi Connect app. It supports standard 80mm ESC/POS printers; very old or non-ESC/POS models may not work.
The device shows offline.
Connect needs the billing PC online to receive jobs. If the PC drops off Wi-Fi, jobs queue safely and print automatically when it reconnects — nothing is lost.
Can I print without installing Connect?
Yes. Every plan includes a browser-print fallback, so you can print from any device while you set Connect up.
