Restrofi is restaurant software from AzimuthForge LLP that runs QR ordering, a kitchen display, table management and billing from Android phones and tablets. UAE VAT and e-invoicing

VAT invoices for UAE restaurants: what is ready and what is not.

General information, not tax or legal advice. Rules and dates can change; check them for your business.

UAE VAT is charged at 5% on most restaurant sales, and a tax invoice shows the restaurant's Tax Registration Number (TRN). Restrofi is building 5% VAT tax invoices with your TRN, in Arabic and English, for the UAE launch. They are not live today.

The UAE is introducing mandatory e-invoicing in phases from 2026, sent through accredited service providers. Restrofi is not an accredited e-invoicing provider. With launch, Restrofi will support FTA-compliant tax invoices with your TRN, and on your demo we'll show how e-invoicing would connect for your business. Confirm your own dates and obligations with your tax adviser or the Federal Tax Authority.

Most UAE restaurants also take orders on Talabat, Deliveroo, Careem or Noon Food. Those integrations are planned and not live. Today Restrofi puts dine-in, takeaway and its own QR orders in one kitchen queue.

Questions from UAE restaurants

Is Restrofi available in the UAE now?
Not fully yet: Restrofi is opening in the UAE with a small group of founding restaurants. QR ordering, KOTs and the kitchen display, tables and running orders, the Android staff app, inventory and reports work today, and restaurants in India use them every day. AED pricing, 5% VAT bills with your TRN, Arabic menus and card payments at the table arrive with launch; they are not live yet.
Will bills show UAE VAT and our TRN?
Not yet; it is part of the UAE launch. Bills with VAT at 5% and your TRN printed on every invoice are being built with founding partners. We'll show you where they stand on your demo call.
Does Restrofi support UAE e-invoicing?
Not yet. The UAE is introducing mandatory e-invoicing in phases from 2026, through accredited service providers, and Restrofi is not one. Can guests read the menu in Arabic?
With launch. Arabic and English menus, with Arabic set right to left, arrive with the UAE launch; today menus are shown in English. Tell us on your demo which dishes and categories you'd want in Arabic first.
Does Restrofi work with Talabat and Deliveroo?
Not yet. Integrations with Talabat, Deliveroo, Careem and Noon Food are planned, not live. Today Restrofi puts dine-in, takeaway and QR orders in one kitchen queue, and we'll list a delivery app as supported only once it works.
How much will Restrofi cost?

What hardware do I need?
No special hardware. Restrofi runs in a web browser and on Android: Android phones and tablets for staff and the kitchen display, Windows PCs with Restrofi Connect for counter billing and auto-printing, and standard thermal printers for KOTs and bills.
How quickly can we be running, and when is support available?
Onboarding for UAE founding partners starts when we launch here, and our team does the setup with you, scheduled around your hours in UAE time. In India, most restaurants are running within a week of their demo. Support is on WhatsApp and email, in UAE time, from launch.
