How a print travels
From the guest's tap to your kitchen, in under two seconds
When a guest places an order, Restrofi saves it in the cloud and pushes a print job down an encrypted, outbound-only relay to the Connect agent running on your billing PC. The agent renders the ticket and sends it straight to your USB thermal printer — no person in the loop.

What is Restrofi Connect?
Restrofi Connect is a lightweight desktop agent that links your restaurant's thermal printers to Restrofi. It runs quietly in the background on your Windows billing PC and listens for new orders. The moment one arrives, it prints the kitchen order ticket (KOT) to the kitchen and the bill to the counter — automatically, without anyone touching the computer.
Because the agent connects out to a secure print relay, you never open ports or expose your PC to the internet. If the machine briefly loses Wi-Fi, jobs queue and print as soon as it reconnects, so a ticket is never lost. Connect works with any standard USB 80mm ESC/POS thermal printer, so there's no new hardware to buy — and a browser-print fallback covers every other device in the meantime. Thermal printing is included with every Restrofi plan.

Restrofi Connect — common questions
Restrofi Connect ships for Windows 10 and Windows 11 today, which covers the vast majority of restaurant billing PCs. macOS and Linux builds are on the roadmap. Every plan also includes a browser-print fallback that works on any device, so you can print even before installing Connect.
Any USB thermal printer that speaks ESC/POS at 80mm (3-inch) width — the standard for restaurant KOTs and bills. That includes Epson TM-series, TVS, and most generic 3-inch thermal printers. You connect the printer to your billing PC over USB as usual; Connect handles the rest.
Nothing is lost. Print jobs queue safely on Restrofi while the PC is offline and print automatically the moment it reconnects. You can see the queued-job count for each device in your dashboard. The browser-print fallback is always available as a backup too.
No ports to open. The Connect agent makes an outbound, encrypted connection to Restrofi's print relay — the same way your browser connects to a website. Your PC never accepts inbound connections, so there's no new attack surface on your network.
Yes. A single Connect installation can manage multiple USB printers and route the right document to each — for example, KOTs to the kitchen printer and bills to the counter printer. You map printers to roles from your dashboard.
